This game was a huge part of my childhood, and it's super cool that I'm able to still run it flawlessly on modern hardware with linux and proton. To fix that, I had to rename the directory structure such as DATA/_LVL_PC/FPM to data/_lvl_pc_/fpm, and that seems to fix things.

From there, I was able to install them by copying the extracted files directly over my install directory, which will vary but in my case was /home/user/.steam/steam/steamapps/common/Star Wars Battlefront II/įor several mods I came across, some of the folders that I extracted were in all capital letters for no discernible reason, but it did seem to lead to crashes. On arch, I have been able to use either innoextract or 7z to extract all executable installers I've come across. exe installer, which are difficult to work with in linux. ' insert your path to the moddata folder. I am able to run the vanilla and modded games on steam using proton with no problems. Re: Do mods not work on the epic game version of Star Wars Battlefront 2 try to go to the game properties in origin and register there (- datapath 'D:\game\STAR WARS Battlefront II \ moddata') for the place '. I have found that modding battlefront 2 (2005) on linux is relatively easy, but it took a bit of investigation to get things actually working.
