

The shrines were especially bad about this because they were always those bland robots. There was also the fact that if you had combat challenges in BoTW, they were against the same handful of enemies. I didn't find all the shrines, but the vast majority of the time, you know it was going to be an orb. I can't imagine Elden Ring will have this issue as I'm going to guess you can repair your weapons (at least most of them, they could always include crystal weapons like in DS). The weapon breaking thing is a totally different discussion and ultimately, I'm not overly bothered by it aside from the Master Sword cooldown, which felt like a middle finger by the devs. However, because weapons break in the game, for me, that lessens the excitement of finding a weapon considerably because very often, I'm going to be reluctant to use it for fear of breaking it.

And yes, I mentioned that there are weapons you can find, which is good. I was being slightly hyperbolic, but the majority of the time, the ultimate reward of a shrine is an orb that you can use to put towards your health or your stamina.
